    Earth Day Celebration     

            Saturday, April 19th     10am - 5pm

 

 

Sponsored by the SRCD and hosted by the Nursery, a full day of free classes and entertainment focused on how to live lightly on the earth, how to minimize our impact and responsibly care for the limited resources we have.

Resource Organization booths and food available. Children’s ‘Seed Ball’ booth.

 

10am: Music by Amber Cross & Friends  Old Timey

11am: Drought Tolerant Gardening class & tourHandout and tour about appropriate landscaping

Noon: Music by Ted Nunes  -  Music Americanas

1:00pm: Speaker Presentation  - Check local paper for announcement

 

2pm: Music by Patrick Contreras Band - Four Piece Ensemble with Violin

3:00pm: Backyard Forestry classLearn to care properly for your native trees

4:00pm: Fire Retardant Landscaping classHandout and discussion about which plants to use and strategies to protect your home
