Gourd Ornament Painting Workshop
Saturday, November 1st | 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Intermountain Nursery
Step into the holiday season with an afternoon that’s equal parts creative expression, community gathering, and slow, seasonal joy. Join local artist and craftsperson Cari Lewis Hager for an intimate, hands-on workshop where you’ll transform dried gourds into one-of-a-kind painted ornaments, small testaments to the season and the landscapes around us.
Make something with your hands that will outlast the holidays: an heirloom piece for your tree, a thoughtful handmade gift, or a keepsake that brings a little of the land indoors. We’ll paint, design, and decorate in a relaxed, welcoming environment, swapping stories, sharing techniques, and getting inspired by one another as we go.
Materials are provided (gourd, paint, and supplies) please bring an apron or paint shirt to protect your clothing, and feel free to pack lunch, snacks, and water to keep you fueled while you create. Space is intentionally limited to just 10 participants, keeping the experience small and collaborative.
If you are an experienced artist or not, all are welcome to come paint in your own way. You will take home an original, handmade ornament and learn about local materials while you’re at it.
